Terms of Use — Nowlet
Last updated 17 September 2026.
Nowlet is a task and focus app made by one person. These terms are short because the relationship is simple: you install an app, your data stays on your phone, and you may choose to pay a small amount to support the work.
Using Nowlet
You may use Nowlet for anything lawful. There is no account to create, and no licence to accept beyond this page.
What is free, and stays free
Capturing thoughts, choosing one thing at a time, focus sessions, your whole history, and exporting your own data are free and will remain free. This is not a trial. Nothing described in that sentence will move behind a payment later.
Every accessibility setting is free.
Supporting the app
You may support Nowlet monthly, yearly, or with a single payment. Supporting it adds conveniences. It does not unlock the app, because the app is not locked.
If you stop supporting it, nothing you have written is taken away. Your tasks, notes, history and sessions stay exactly as they are and remain readable and exportable. A colour you were already using stays yours.
Payments, renewals and refunds
Purchases are processed by Google Play, not by Nowlet. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you cancel them through your Google Play account rather than through this app.
Refunds are handled by Google Play under their policy. If something went wrong and Google will not help, write to the address below and it will be sorted out.
Prices may change. An existing subscription keeps its price until you cancel it.
Things that are honestly said
Nowlet is not a medical device and is not therapy. It is built with ADHD and similar difficulties in mind, and it is a tool, not treatment or advice.
Your data lives on your phone, which means you are holding it. If you lose the phone, drop it in a river, or uninstall the app without exporting first, that data is gone and cannot be recovered — unless you had cloud sync switched on. Export is free and always will be, and it exists for exactly this reason.
Cloud sync is a convenience, not a guarantee. It is a second copy. Please do not treat it as the only copy of anything that matters.
The app is provided as it is. It is written carefully and tested, but no software is perfect, and nobody can promise it will never lose anything or never misbehave. To the extent the law allows, the author is not liable for loss arising from using it. Nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
Features that do not exist yet
The supporting screen may mention something that is being worked on and does not exist. Where it does, it says so plainly. You are supporting the app as it is today, not buying a promise, and anything that arrives later arrives for everybody already subscribed.
Ending it
You can stop using Nowlet at any time by uninstalling it. Cancel any subscription through Google Play.
Access can be withdrawn only for unlawful use or for attempting to break the service for other people.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that affects what you get, the app will say so.
